Thank you for your interest in supporting the Georgia Association of Convention & Visitors Bureaus (GACVB)! 

Our mission at GACVB is to be the unified voice of Georgia’s destination marketing organizations (DMOs) and provide industry education, advocacy, and professional development opportunities to our members.

We also have opportunities for tourism Strategic Partners to be involved in GACVB, network with our members, and receive many of the same perks and information as our Destination and Industry Members.

Destination Members

Our Destination Members are non-profits who are funded either wholly or partially by hotel-motel tax, and are tasked with promoting a specific location (city, county, or region) as a travel destination. Destination Members are the bulk of our members and include the following types or organizations:

  • Official Destination Marketing Organizations (DMOs)
  • Convention & Visitors Bureaus (CVBs)
  • Tourism-charged Chambers of Commerce
  • Quasi-Governmental tourism marketing agencies
  • Tourism and Convention Center Authorities
  • Tourism-affiliated economic and community development programs 

GACVB membership dues for Destination Members are based on operating budgets (see chart below). The DMO holds the GACVB Membership and may have unlimited linked employees under their membership.

Category 2 - Budgets between $50,000 – $99,999  $400
Category 3 - Budgets between $100,000 – $249,999  $625
Category 4 - Budgets between $250,000 – $499,999 $1000
Category 5 - Budgets between $500,000 – $999,999 $1450
Category 6 - Budgets between $1,000,000 – $1,999,999 $2300
Category 7 - Budgets between $2,000,000 - $4,999,999  $3050
Category 8 - Budgets between  $5,000,000 - $10,000,000  $4575
Category 9 - Budgets above $10,000,000 $6850

 Industry Members

Our Industry Members are organizations that support destination marketing, destination development, and the overall visitor experience. This category includes anyone in the tourism industry who is not a DMO, whose goal is to work directly with visitors. Examples of Industry Members include:

  • Attractions
  • Hotels
  • Restaurants
  • Tour Operators
  • Transportation Companies
  • Tourism and Hospitality Associations and Non-Profit Organizations

Strategic Partners

Strategic Partners are suppliers within the tourism industry. They help our Destination and Industry Members reach their goals of reaching the visitor. Examples of Strategic Partners include:

  • Media Companies
  • Public Relations Firms
  • Marketing Agencies
  • Creative Services
  • Technology Providers
  • Professional Service Organizations

While Strategic Partners are not voting GACVB members, they can receive many of the same perks as our voting members including newsletters, educational and networking opportunities, as well as access to our events -- as a vendor, sponsor, attendee, or all three!

Dues for our Strategic Partners are tiered and customizable based on partnership goals.

Honorary / Lifetime

The GACVB Board of Directors may at times confer Honorary or Lifetime Memberships to deserving individuals. 

Honorary Members are those who have rendered distinguished service to the destination marketing and management profession.

Life Members are honored by the GACVB Board of Directors to exemplary individuals upon their retirement in the Georgia tourism industry.
